What's a Blog?

Hello, This is The Creator. And I will tell you what is a blog. A bog is a website maintained and used by someone, lets say a pervert or maybe a celebrity. It's easy too use, one can wright about things that have happen to them or just whats up in there daily lives. Put in videos or pictures is also one way too use it. Commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. They can also be used as an online diary (why I don't know, it's way beyond me why some one would what to have an online diary, seems a little pointless).
There is several types of blogs, one of em' is this one (the awesome kind) and more, those include:

Personal blogs:
A personal blog is the most common blog, it's an on going diary or commentary by an individual. Personal bloggers usually take pride in their blog posts, even if their blog is never read by anyone but them selves.

Corporate and organizational blogs:
This type can be used for busies purposes, such as enhance the communication, and other tings like that.

By media type:
A blog comprising videos is called a Vlog. one comprising links is called a linklog, a site containing a portfolio of sketches is called a sketchblog or one comprising photos is called a photoblog.

Okay, now that was fun right? Okay enough about that, now it is time for something different, namely...yeah you're right it's time for somethin' I like too call "THE HISTORY OF THE BLOGS". Now, it all started in 1678, the Germans had invade Canada, and it seemed like a nuclear war was eminent...Nooo, that's not right, it acutely started with a guy named Jorn Barger (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jorn_Barger) the term "webblog" was coined by this dude on 17 December 1997. The short form, "blog," was coined by Peter Merholz, who jokingly broke the word weblog into the phrase we blog in the sidebar of his blog Peterme.com in April or May 1999. Shortly thereafter a guy named Evan Williams used used "blog" as both a noun and verb ("to blog," meaning "to edit one's weblog or to post to one's weblog").

Okay, that was some history of The Blog, now, as you know it's a very popular pastime, (well if you use it as that that is). So some Researchers have analyzed the dynamics of how blogs become popular, and thous are as follows: There are essentially two measures of this: popularity through citations, as well as popularity through affiliation (i.e. blogroll). The basic conclusion from studies of the structure of blogs is that while it takes time for a blog to become popular through blogrolls, permalinks can boost popularity more quickly, and are perhaps more more indicative of popularity and authority than blogrolls. Damn that was a lot of text!
Well I think that's about it, I have said what I think of some blog and some of the history and popularity of em' so now I think it's time too go, and always remember the holy words: I Like Pie.

See ya!
